Ms. Faye Lo is the Founder of the Good Soil Foundation. Faye believes inharnessing the transformative power of private capital to inspire andempower youth to drive meaningful change.
Faye founded the Witnessing the Present Global Youth PhotographyCompetition, creating an international platform that amplifies youngphotographers’ visions and stories. Her goal is to nurture creativity, promotecross-cultural understanding, and inspire youths to use visual storytelling as atool for reflection and social impact.
In 2012 Faye co-founded China’s first legally registered charity by a grassrootsorganization – the Guang Dong Mai Tian Education Foundation. Faye nextfounded the Sky3 Seed Foundation in 2013. In 4 years, she supported thegrowth of over 55 charitable projects. In 2017, Faye began a povertyalleviation project in Sichuan’s Daliang Mountains through investigativejournalism. Starting with an initial seed fund of 50,000 yuan, she fundraisedover 700 million yuan in social and government resources leading toimprovements within the vicinity of over ten schools. The project became themost influential charity project of 2017 in Tencent’s philanthropy rankings.Faye’s keen ability to innovate saw her organise a donation drive for reliefsupplies at the National University of Singapore during the 2020 pandemic,mobilizing a vast network of volunteers to support eighty hospitalsworldwide.
Faye has earned an Executive Master of Philanthropy by the ChinaPhilanthropy Research Institute of Beijing Normal University and the IndianaUniversity Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Faye also attended the HarvardKennedy School for the Executive Leaders in Philanthropy Program as ascholarship recipient.
